Our Artists
At the Hawthorne Gallery, we showcase over 25 of the most unique contemporary artists, from New York to the West Coast. The eclectic style of artistry can be described as abstract, modern, contemporary and more.
Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of our gallery is that 10 of the artists are members of the Hawthorne Family - 2 generations and a 3rd on their way to keeping the artistic family tradition going.
History
The Hawthorne Gallery Port Orford opened its doors in the summer of 2010. When Chris and brother Greg found the perfect location on the southern Oregon coast, they began their design/build project. In addition to the gallery, the site has an award-winning restaurant, Redfish, and a guest suite, the Redfish Loft, overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean.
Affiliates
The Hawthorne Gallery Big Sur opened in 1995, by Gregory Hawthorne, as a landmark on the northern California coastline. The outstanding design by legendary architect Mickey Meunnig is home to over 20 contemporary artists including those of the talented Hawthorne family.
